When can I register?

Any weekday morning between 12-2pm


What documents should I bring?

Proof of residence (i.e. photocopy of recent utility bill), birth paper of enrollee

and immunization card. Immunization records must be up to date.

Once my child is accepted what is the form of payment?

Genus IV accept cash payable on the first day each term made directly into an

account. Note: No receipt for payment will be given until a copy of payment

slip is brought into the office.


What if I do not like the services do I get a refund?

Refunds are made only after the first two days of the term, a $450.00 charge

is applicable. Extremely reasonable? We doubt though this is necessary.

Anything else I should know?

Yes, field trips and other fees associated things other than activities ​must be paid in advance and are in no way connected to your sternly ​transactions with the school.



Through Genus IV is considerate of the rising cost of

“everything” but we cannot absorb those prices for you. ​Thank you for considering us as your

choice in preschool care.

General information

Medical Regulations:


A physician’s report is required for new students. If an ​appointment with a physician cannot be scheduled prior to ​start of school, the immunization history needs to be filled ​out as well as a copy of the National Immunization Card ​attached and returned to the office.

It is imperative that you contact the school if you suspect or ​your child does contract a contagious disease such as the ​flu, chicken pox, pink eye, head lice, etc. A child should not ​attend school if he or she is ill (symptoms such as, fever, ​coughing, running nose, etc.). If a parents sends a child that ​is ill to school they are subject to pay additional expense as ​staff will have to be assigned to that student for the day.

New Students:

The forms enclosed in the student package needs to be returned to the preschool ​office.


Returning Students:

A whole new set of forms are not necessary every year.

These forms are due on the first day of the new school term and are expected to be ​handed in at drop off. None compliance and cause your child to be turned away at ​the door. Signing drop off and pick up forms daily are required by Genus IV. Signing ​must be done by an adult who is picking up the student such as parent, driver, ​relative, etc. These forms will record adults signing children into the school and also ​out of the school using first and last name recording time. A legible full signature is ​required.

Clothing:


Children should be dressed in the uniform stipulated ​by the rules of the school and on days that it should ​be worn. Assume that anything worn to school can ​get dirty. Make sure children can handle their own ​clothing when using restrooms. Shoes should be safe ​for all activities. Sandals and slippers should be worn ​on the appropriate day of activity only. Please no ​jellies, high heels and slippery shoes they invite ​accidents. Please Label all clothing your child wears ​to school!


Extra Clothing:

Please bring a Ziploc bag with a change of clothing ​for emergency use. It should be labelled on one end ​with the child’s name. If your child

experiences a growth spurt, be sure to replace ​emergency supplies with the new size.

Games Uniform:


Children should be dressed in this uniform on Wednesday ​and Thursday only unless otherwise stipulated by the ​teacher. The cost of the uniform is $490.00 and payable ​in advance. This wear is compulsory and not up for ​negotiations!


Separation of Parent and Child:


Please feel free to stay with your child a little while the ​first day to make him or her feel secure in his or her new ​surroundings. After, that it is better to say cheerful but ​firm farewell and allow the teacher to take care

of the situation at the point. As you probably know, the ​tears usually cease very soon after the parent’s departure.

Toilet Trained Children:


Our students must have accomplished this task, including ​wipping by the time they start school. No child can be ​accepted in diapers, plastic pants or pull-ups (Can be ​discussed)


Conferences:


A conference may be scheduled at any time at the request ​of a parent of head teacher. The head teacher is the ​designed spokesperson for the teaching team. Please never ​leave a child unattended at any time in your car!


Field Trips:


Your child/children need to wear his/her school badge. ​Monies for field trips must be paid and consent forms ​signed and returned to the office two days before.

Schedule of Activities:


Please be aware of the days in which the activities will be taking ​place and what is required.


Available for Sale at the office:


Books, wet bags, small towels, swimsuits, trunks, leotards, school ​uniforms, games uniforms and water bottles.


Carpools:


Signatures on the emergency forms are required for people who ​would actually be picking up your child in the event of an ​emergency and for drivers of a carpool. Also if your child has a ​play date please send a note of authorization the other parent to ​pick up your child. Please ensure that the person walks with a ​valid photo ID. Your child will not be released to any individual ​who does not have a valid ID or is not authorized by you to be ​picked up.

Parking:


To drop off/ pick up. If you are entering the premises to sign your in and out please ​park on the side street or before and after the gateway. This allows for an easy of traffic ​flow.


Please Note:


On a unique occasion when you need to have your child picked up by someone not ​listed on your emergency form and you have not been able to send a note you will need ​to call Genus IV and give the name and phone number of the designated adult. Please ​be sure this individual comes to pick up your child with his or her driver’s license, as ​our staff will need to verify the individual’s identity. In an event of extreme emergency ​you will need to call the school with the pertinent information. If there is any resolved ​questions about releasing your child without proper authorization from you Genus IV ​will err on the side of safety by refusing to release your child.


Playgrounds:


Preschool playgrounds must be for preschool children only during the preschool hours. ​It is important that the children play on these facilities with consistent rules.
